The seminar introduces the participation and co-determination rights of the works council in social matters and provides guidelines for handling them in practice. Based on an overview of applicable company and labour law, current case law and practical experience, the seminar provides advisory instructions for the practical application and implementation in the respective company.

- Conflict regulations in the Works Constitution Act (BetrVG): Labour court proceedings,conciliation committee proceedings
- Forms of agreement, regulatory agreement, works agreement
- Enforceable and voluntary works agreements pursuant to Sections 87, 88 BetrVG
- Participation rights and design options in social matters in accordance with Section 87 BetrVG, e.g. vacation planning (location/ distribution); extension or reduction of working hours; order and conduct in the company
- Implementation of joint resolutions in accordance with § 77 BetrVG Effects of the collective bargaining reservation pursuant to § 77 (3) BetrVG
- Current developments in case law and legislation
